The all-new Shimano Vanford series builds on the iconic Stradic Ci4 to become the ultimate finesse reel. It uses a lightweight Ci4 body, with a new MGL rotor that makes the reel 48% lighter to turn. It also includes Silent Drive and Micromodule Gear II for light, smooth reeling. The Vanford has X-Protect for strong water resistance, and cold forged Hagane gears for incredible durability. This increases the toughness of the roller clutch and line roller to meet the IPX8 standard. It also has better casting performance from the new Long Stroke spool design.
